Anyone any idea who actually makes the stereos for Vauxhall these days, i seem to recall a few years ago it was Phillips? What make is liable to be in an early 2004 2.2SRi? Cheers!

Siemens I think. Will be a CDR 2005 or a CDR 2006 more likely to be the CDR 2005 though.
I thought it was Blaupunkt
Siemens
im sure my cd30 that i removed was stamped Blaupunkt on the back??
Hey, yorkshireborn, lochgilp & david 173 don't fall out over it boys! Only joking. Nice to see someone's paying attention. S'pose it would be nice if it was Blaupunkt, they always seemed to be a decent brand to me. As for Siemens, didn't know they were into stereos, thought it was just phones. You live and learn eh? Thanks for the help anyway.
Defo Siemens CDR 2005 on my 2004 53 plate sri
I think what it is, is that the older style headunits like the CDR2005 etc are Siemens, and the new CD30, CDC40 units etc are now Blaupunkt.

The sticker on the second photo says Blaupunkt

You got it david. The power is a bit weak on the 2005 but it always plays cdr's for me when the cd30's always seamed to have problems with the same cdr's. The cd30 does seam to have a bit more of a kick behind them though.
Almost definitely a CDR 2005 which is made by Siemens VDO. Power output is a bit weak. If it has the CCR 2006, its made by Philips and has much better power output and sound quality.
