Question Stumble on pick up - Hesitation

Hey chaps, need some pointers please, got my first issue

Over recent days I have noticed that when poodling along if i try and accelerate gently, just a little power, the engine hesitates, stumbles even.

If it were a petrol car I would be confident its a missfire cos thats how it feels.......... but its a pre facelift 2005 CDTi120bhp 8v......

I cleaned the EGR and Boost sensor a few months ago and the car was as smooth as silk for ages, no idea why this has started....

If I just plant my foot all is fine, but feather it gently and shes not happy

    Any suggestions please

Thanks Mark, when I cleaned the EGR I fitted the Fiat / Alfa blank with the three small holes in it - was fine for weeks!

Try without MAF connected just to see if any difference.

Won't do any harm in cleaning MAP too

Edit: damn phone was too slow lol

I will be watching this thread with interest... mine is exactly the same.

I've recently done the thermostat, cleaned egr, new cambelt, water pump, oil and filter change, air and fuel filter change anchecked all boost hoses and vac pipes.

    Stumped now..

Sorry to bring this back from the dead but its driving me mad!

In an attempt to beat this I have:

    * Cleaned and then replaced the MAP sensor
    * Cleaned the MAF
    * Cleaned and partically blanked the EGR

Its still there, getting worse if anything and if definitely worse when the car is hot.

I have just ordered a crankshaft sensor in a vague hope that might help.

    Any suggestions please chaps??????
