So keep getting faults thrown up and it keeps saying the above, what is the sensor for, can i simply delete it, or does it do something

Yaw rate sensors are used for cornering brake control (or whatever each manufacturer wants to call it)

It detects when the car is about to spin in conjunction with the wheel speed sensors and can apply individual wheel brakes on the wheels to regain traction and help prevent a car spinning under extreme cornering events

It would be very difficult to remove and delete from the system i would expect due to it being linked into so many different modules in the cars electronics, probably better just to fit a new one

present means the fault is present not the unit otherwise you'd have thouusands of parts showing up as present ;-)

I'm not sure where it is, I'm a Citroen/Peugeot trained engineer !, I just know what they do and where they are on cit/pugs

You could try setting it to not present, I am used to lexia diagnostics, where it was more complex to set, but it sounds a lot easier on the software we arent allowed to mention

Are you sure about that one ? i think you may be wrong

When i look at the other things that my car does not have there showing NOT PRESENT (i.e Rain/Light Sensor NOT PRESENT

Even when i deleted the codes the Yaw rate Sensor is shown as PRESENT

So i have just deleted the codes, and looking up on some other forums it could be one of two things

    1. CIM - I know mine is goosed as the cruise control is knackered , and the steering angle sensor has to be calibrated , and this is connected to the YRS i think so could be that

    2. ABS plug/module as this fault only happened over the last week or so, i am guessing there could be some water ingression in or near the ABS plug, as its been ****ing down for the last week so i am going to clean this out................ What plug is it and whats the best way to clean
