    I had the same issue!

Ended up buying a Pella sump drainer!

Breaker bar works a treat... If not a ratchet with a metal bar on the handle. My old astra mk3 took 2 of us and a 4 foot pole.... Felt so satisfying! Jst thought we sheared it at first

I can't stand it when garages to that... It doesn't have to be done up so tight you could lift the car by it.... Persistence really mate. Breaker bar works a treat but keep the torx square up to the hole so it doesn't slip, and you end up rounding the hole..

I do it with the engine warm, as the oil is thiner, but I would have though it would be more difficult with a cold engine.

Try to crack it off when the engine is hot, but don't unscrew until cool.
