Ended up buying a Pella sump drainer!

Breaker bar works a treat... If not a ratchet with a metal bar on the handle. My old astra mk3 took 2 of us and a 4 foot pole.... Felt so satisfying! Jst thought we sheared it at first
Breaker bar as above, Keep upwards weight on the socket to stop it slipping off as-well,
Oh yeh forgot to mention the above! if you cant get gud upward pressure us a mallet n lever it up on the socket.
gave up will try another day can't be bothered removing undertray again., i was trying to remove when engine warm should i slacken when cool
I can't stand it when garages to that... It doesn't have to be done up so tight you could lift the car by it.... Persistence really mate. Breaker bar works a treat but keep the torx square up to the hole so it doesn't slip, and you end up rounding the hole..
I do it with the engine warm, as the oil is thiner, but I would have though it would be more difficult with a cold engine.
Matt
it's not the torqe type mate its a bolt, pain in the arse, was the same when doing drop links had to get the grinder out.
Try to crack it off when the engine is hot, but don't unscrew until cool.
Had the same problem staturday took me 4 hours to get it off in the had to use a cold chisel l to get it of put my new quick release sump plug in so I don't get any more problems!
