    Default Autoglym products

    Hi Everyone,

Since it was a nice day today (for a change) I decided to give the car a spring clean. It had lots of faint scratches on the bonnet and was covered in bird s**t.

I washed, clayed, washed again. Then I tried the new Autoglym SRP and to be honest I can't tell the difference in the shine. However, it seems to cover up scratches very well and I think there is less of the powdery residue.

I always used to finish off with Coli 915 but have tried some AG High Definition Wax instead. What a difference, I love this stuff . It goes on so much easier and buffs off easier too. I will never go back to Coli now. The only thing is Coli was really good value and HD wax isnt cheap but you do seem to get what you pay for.

So a big thumbs up for AG from me. I think their current stuff is great. What do you all think?

Just finished and the light was fading so no pics today. Hoping for no rain and will take pics in morning.

Autoglym is not realy a polish it is also a chemical
cleaner, you needed the wax for the shine.

    I prefer the Carnauba wax.

The new srp has been quoted to be three times better than the old version , now thats not really very hard as the old stuff was awful, a pain to remove and forever leaving dust everywhere
The beauty of collinite 915 is its durability put it on once and then dont touch the car for 4-6 months , i am not sure on the durability of AG hD but i bet its nowhere near 915.

HD wax is a brilliant wax, more expensive than 915, but not if you know where to look. I still had beading after 5 months over the winter so I doubt durability can be called into question. The new SRP is an improvment over the old one, I have yet to try it without wax over it though to try out the claim that it lasts longer.

I've always be sceptical about waxes which are supposed to last months. Coli never lasted that long for me. After a few washes you can see the finish is not as good and if you re-apply it looks much better. I am just happy that the HD wax goes on so easily. If it needs re-applying then I dont really mind.

Anyway, finally got round to loading the pics from my camera. Took a few where I was detailing the car (off road). Then moved the car outside the house to take a couple more and guess what, the rain came down . Oh well, shows the beading from the HD wax nicely.

Only problem is you get to see my mug in one reflection shot

Yeah close ish but moving around the north all day long, which is why my 07 Sig has nearly 90K on clock

Autoglym for me all the way, just don't pay top whack at Halfords. Think HD wax is about £45 from there
