    Default SORN problem

Hi guy's, due to problems i've been having with the Veccy (Skippy), i have SORN'ed it but kept the tax disc in case the scammer who sold it to me wants to take it back. I did this because i cancelled my own insurance. I have had the car on my mother-in-laws drive but now a mechanic needs to see it (a favour for my father-in-law on a Sunday). The trouble is that he is 7 miles away and has no pick up truck. My mother in law has a suitable insurance policy and the car has a tax disc with time to run (til 08/12). Will she get any problems if she were to drive it to him as i do not want the car seized and destroyed for obvious reasons.

Thanks Craig, more or less what i thought. Don't want to lose the car just yet or get my mother-in-law in trouble (points and fine).

Not just points and a fine - the car would be siezed if the police stopped her whilst she was en route.

Thanks Rebellion, just as i said at top of post, but that would be my problem as i would then have no car with which to get my money refunded (due to being scammed into buying a scrapper or as good as).

you can't drive any car declared as SORN on public highways, but read this: -
    http://www.direct.gov.uk/en/motoring...icle/dg_069727
as above link you can go to mot -- if the car is insured first.
