    Question engine block painting

I am prepping a spare engine with uprated internals at the moment, but before it eventually goes in i want to paint the block.

My car is sapphire black and i have blue silicone pipework around the engine... what do you think would be the best colour for the engine.. I was thinking bling bling and going for a high shine silver/chrome type paint, but have also considered metallic yellow or metallic blue. what do you think?

Any pics? I'd be leaning towards blue if painting it

Red for the block, and black for the head.. the only way to go in my opinion..

What kind of paint are you using?

    Matt

EDIT: I should also point out, the rocker cover bolts should be silver..

lol red huh, not really considered that, but open to all ideas. All bolts will also be painted before the engine is reassembled, colour will depend of the the block colour though, the rocker cover i was thinking of painting a different colour to the block anyway..

I intend to use a high temp enamel paint so i get a nice smooth finish that can easily be cleaned in the future.

No pics to be published as yet, the engine is still on a rotating stand in my garage as I am still stripping it right down to its bare metal components. I will send some of the parts away to be chemically cleaned before i rebuild it with the mods i have in mind.. Some parts will be going to the electroplater to be chromed...

still not sure on the colour scheme yet bob... I am sanding down the rocker cover today, i was thinking of polishing it up to a high shine but i think its gonna take me ages so pondering the painting route.. bolts etc will be painted as i reassemble (before hand and dried though)
