    confused ABS Sensor question

I had my front offside spring replaced today after the dreaded spring break. The ABS warning light had also come on recently so I asked the garage to do a diagnostic check. They have said that the nearside rear ABS sensor is showing a fault. They could not give a full explanation and said that I would need to bring it back for further investigation.
Am I looking at anything costly?
    Any thoughts/suggestions?

prob the 2 pin connector (white) that is rusted , mine was the same .
you could try cleaning but I had to replace a part of the harness , but it was only 12 quid to do it so no big deal .

I have had the same problem with mine in the past. Turned out to be the front nearside sensor, i had to replace the whole wheel hub asembly, if thats the case you can get one off ebay for about £50, just make sure you order the right one as there is two different kinds IDS or non IDS. i changed it myself, first attempt at that and if you have the right tools to hand (i didnt) its not to hard. hope you don't have to resort to that and that its just a case of cleaning and reconecting the sensor. good luck
