Default Interior Lighting and Additional Plugs

    Hi All

Does anyone know if plugs for interior rear light and illuminated sunvisors will be under the headlining on my Estate? Or is the only way to take it down and look?

Does anyone also know where the fuse is for the front interior light (not in handbook) and if it's possible to connect some footwell lighting at the fuse box, rather than having to run it up A pillars to the front interior light??

Plugs should be taped onto the headlining ready for use but better to pull it down just to be sure.

Why not run the connection for the footwell lights from the ciggy lighter?

    Hi
Just pulled some of the rear headlining down for a peek, but couldn't see anything, but could have been further towards the middle of the car.

I want the footwell lights to come on when the interior light does, so connecting to cig lighter would require a switch. I'm not keen on pulling headlining down or soldering onto contacts on interior light, as I don't have a steady hand, but I am happy with crimping terminals etc, so was hoping to find a normal wire to cut and terminal up as proper connection.

I have an idea of mounting courtesy lights in the centre console, rather than led strips under the dash, which I think is not a problem, but it's the wiring to the light that's the problem.

    Hi
Thanks, well with that in mind and what i've read, the wiring on the Vec is more complicated than a simple live to light and earth, so I can't connect to light via the feed, as it looks like the interior light wiring is a ribbon style, boo hoo!! Guess I will have to take the interior light fitting out and solder or don't bother fitting them at all

Thanks Patch22, I had read that post, wondered if the connection would be secure enough without soldering, but great instructions and I would really like to add the footwell lighting, think I will end up doing it
