    Default Engine Decarbonizer

Did anyone watch the new Wheeler Dealers episode this week where Edd China used an engine decarboniser on the Jag XK8? It looked like a mobile A/C recharge machine, but instead it sends two highly concentrated fuel system cleaners into the engine via the fuel depressurisation valve, and the engine runs on the two additives instead of petrol/diesel. One of the additives cleans the system up to the cylinders, the one cleans from the cylinders to the exhaust. He reckoned it was much more effective than the bottle of fuel additives that you put in the tank. Wouldn't mind having that run through on my engine

Vehicle : Mk1 renault scenic... I know I know but it drives

    Trim : Basic

    Engine : 1.6 16v

    Year : 2003

    It looked quality mate.

I read the they've been sponsored by Uni part for tools an parts this series so possibly that's why showing off all expensive bits of kit.

It did reduce the hydro carbons massively.

Can't see it being cheap to get done tho

£70 he reckoned, but I can see garages trying to charge a lot more while there's a shortage of suppliers.

I was wondering how much of the high emissions on the jag was due to it going into limp mode when warm so not really capable of a good run.
