    Angry Smoking Signum 2.0T help

    Please see video
    [ame]http://youtu.be/VMwr84Rd_wM[/ame]

Last few days the Signum has had this white? smoke come from the exhaust. So far, it hasn't happened from a cold start, only when its been driven, parked up while I shop then restart. But is fine again once back up to temp.

Engine temp is 90 C ish, car pulls away fine. Haven't noticed any oil or coolant loss, but will recheck once engine has cooled.

Any help appreciated, even if its just a link to another thread that I missed while searching.

    Thanks

    Ade

have you managed to read the codes yet, without seeing them I would suspect a lambda sensor or EGT at fault seeing as it doesn't do this from cold..

I don't have a code reader (correct term?) I'll ask around now to see if anyone has one.

oddly those codes relate to Aircon issues.

I would be inclined to suggest you disconnect your battery negative terminal for 30 minutes or more to reset the fault codes etc.. This will clear any stored faults and let it learn any new faults if it still has any, after driving it for a while read the codes again and we can see if there is any related code to this smoke issue you are having.

white smoke in the exhaust can be caused by a few things..

not wanting to jump to conclusions a good fault code could help narrow it down.. what year and milage is the car?
