    Default Window switches

My new Vectra’s window switch is looking a tad scabby at present (mat back trim is flaking off it for some reason)… So I have been looking at new switches etc on ebay…

This reminded me that I had a complete driver’s door switch spare in mint condition already…

So my question is can I swap the standard passenger side three button switch out for a driver’s door switch module and will it all work (or some of it depending what wires are there in the loom?)

The plug's not even right and even if you re-wired that, no it wouldn't work.

Well that's killed that idea... lol...

Now thinking that a small bit of carbon wrapping could be the answer... thepassenger side is the easy side to do but is the driverside...?

I have had the switch out before but is it possible to get all the switches out of the cluster so I can wrap the remaining static buts (bit in the middle etc?)

Or should I just Man up and spend £20.00 on ebay for a new switch?

    Thoughts...?

Just a thin flat blade screwdriver to pop it out (be carefull tho). You can strip them down and claen them with electrical cleaner may fix the problem.

Hi, it's dead easy to get the out... I used a thin flat knife (a normal screwdriver is to big IMO) incerted in at the top of the switch housing. This took the full switch and mounting out... then You can get the switch out from the inside.

Go to the how to section as there is a guide for this and how to fix the issue with the intermitent function of your switch... a free and dead easy fix which I have done loads now!
