Whilst adjusting the temperature in my car today, i noticed that if you press the temperature control button, it allows you to adjust both drivers and passengers temperatures together. I would assume that this only works with Dual Climate Control systems.

    did anyone else know this?

isn't it good. Then to go back to dual individual temps, press the temp switch and they are then seperate again.

No, most of us poor low life didn't get climate control , although at least the Design has a slightly better than standard system

I thought there were only 2 types of air system, climate and ordinary non- climate?
So what does the Design have?

    Vehicle : Opel Insignia

    Trim : Cosmo

    Engine : 2.0 CDTI

    Year : 2011

There are 3 types: airco, auto airco (or semi climat like Dennis said) and ECC. And yes ECC has 2 temp switches (that can be pushed in)

Yeah, I'm confused too!! On models with CC it does that. If the passenger side is set to a different temp than the drivers, pushing on the driver's temp dial brings the passenger side to the same as the drivers and you can then adjust them both at the same time with the one dial. If the passenger side pushed their dial then they have independent control back. And vice versa if the passenger is the first to push the dial.

I though the only other option was the straight-forward AC? What's yours got then Neil?

Edit: Just looking at the specs the Design lists 'Automatic air conditioning' which sounds somewhere in between the normal AC and CC?

The auto AC will maintain a temperature, but adjustment of fan speed direction etc is manual rather than electronic.

Fan speed is automatic all you have to do is point the air in the direction you want it , which is something i prefer to do , my old focus ghis , always decided i wanted a face full of wind which was annoying and would blast you with cold air in the morning , the vauxhall system is like the renaults it wont pump the fan into action untill the water in the matrix is hot enough , so you dont get chilled 1st thing in the morning ,
