Corsa 1.4 Help

I know its not a Vectra but hopefully someone can help: Having trouble with a Corsa 1.4 8V that won't start.It turns over fine but doesn't sound like its firing. I've had a plug out and rested it on the engine (still connected to HT lead) and I can't see it sparking when cranking it. (It was done outside in the dark.)The immobiliser seems to be ok, the EML flashes once briefly (as it should) when the ignition is turned on and OpCom confirms immobiliser signal is ok. My thoughts are the dispack is the first port of call. Its a 1998 1.4 8v. Sorry for the wall of text but my phone won't start a new paragraph. Thanks.

Borrow a coilpack and try that!

Could it be the coilpack? Unfortunately I don't know anyone with a Corsa!

was going to say the same check the cam and crank sensor op-com will tel you on live data if the ecu is receiving rpm signal

cam sensor is on inside or around the cam-belt cover at the top of the engine you will see a solid black wire running to it.
the crank sensor is near the bottom pulley on most corsas or on the rear of the engine near the gear box depends on what engine code yours is

Been out and cleaned it tonight and fired up straight away.

I put the same post up on www.corsasport.co.uk (still a member from my Corsa days) and only got 1 reply saying that I should be able to see a spark!
