Default Gsi urgent help please guys

    Hi all
After having the gsi for a whole week I have walked round the front of the car a couple when it's warm a smelt a bit of anti freeze
So today I thought I would have a look at it!
After I had a look round I noticed a bit of water on the front of the block, now I can see its running down where then head meets the block on the front right handside above the gearbox
It looks like it is running out from the centre of the v so does this mean it's likely the oil cooler is leaking somewhere?
Any help would be very gratefull
    Thanks

If it's coolant coming out of the head then it's going to be the head gasket leaking out rather than into the cylinders... I had it on my Golf VR6. Have you got white residue on the side of the block where the coolant has been cooking off but none on the head?

Photos really would be the best way of anyone diagnosing this on here.

No signs of a head gasket problebm( I think)
I am stripping it down now
The water is coming out of between the cylinder heads and running lip where the head gasket is

That seems a pretty big sign of a head gasket leak... unless I'm missing something mate? Your car doesn't have to feel lumpy or smoky for the head gasket to leak. It just means that coolant is escaping out of the side rather than into the cylinders.

Its the oil cooler lid that will be leaking, be carefull when removing oil cooler nuts as they usually rip threads of then you will have to replace complete oil cooler
