After picking up the car just over a month ago, I quickly got to work with a list of mods I wanted to do.

The way I bought it and after a good clean.....

At this point I then put on my CRD2 tuning box and the biggest mod of all, the kids car seats.

Next up was to colour code the grille

Then I completed a little mod... Insignia washers

And this little bundle of joy is now waiting to be fitted to the car.

    From this

    To this

    With these

Correct, the grille is a different shade and not deliberately. It's been laquered but i think its going to need more to lighten it up if that'll work.. if not, its coming off and I'm starting again. It could be the paint shade being wrong... it was Star Silver 2 on the can but it doesn't mean that's whats inside I suppose.
Although I have been considering a darker shade like gunmetal grey... opinions?

Mine is in the shop end of next week ... colour matching the paint for the V section and a dark gloss gunmetal for the VXR diffuser was suggested to match the V grill with the gunmetal,.. would look good but I want a standard VX look rather than modified

I love the colour of the calipers, i'm thinking of doing mine the same, should look really good when its refitted.

Is it my computer, or is your whole front bumper a different shade of silver to the rest of the car ?, the painted V looks the same shade as the bumper on my screen, but they both look different to the rest of the car

I've just bought a rear 292mm brake setup today too so I'll fit the lot in one job.

It's not your computer, I think it's a combination of the camera, bright sunlight and vauxhalls awesome paintjob when they built it because the back bumper is the same and so were the bumpers on my brand new star silver Astra.. i'm normal light it's not as clear as the photos.

This is common on nearly all Vecs, all mine have been like it and most on here are the same.
