alarm....

Hi all,

Tried locking car today and alarm kept going off.

Locked with spare and not gone off yet.

Is this right to happen or sumthing else up!?

It's nothing to do with the battery. You have the estate model, and this alarm issue is common on the estates. The rear side windows have metal contacts leading to them, which sense if the window gets smashed, and the alarm is then supposed to go off. These metal contacts corrode and break, thus randomly setting off the alarm. Remove the trim around the rear side windows and you should find the contacts and the break in one or more of them.
