Default looks like iv bought a lemon

so i bought a 53 reg signum 2.2dti with 121k from a car auction the other night its turning out not to be such a good buy after all as i mentioned on a previous post they is a lot of oil around the turbo area.

But today i noticed the clutch is slipping when i put my foot down when the turbo kicks in the revs clime but the speed does not also when driving along if i put my foot on the clutch just ever so lightly the revs will clime iv had slipping clutch before so no what it feels like im gutted to say the least.

how much do you think it will cost to get clutch done in a garage.

Has any one done a clutch themselves is it some thing i could have a go at myself.

Also it sounds like it needs some bushes or a new shock absorber on the back it is banging and very unsettled over bumps.

im thinking about just butting it through the auction again see what i get for it

I've heard of people doing there own on here, can't remember who of the top of my head but I'll be doing my own in the summer, along with the flywheel (same engine).

If you can handle a spanner it shouldn't be too difficult to do on your own but I would probably give yourself a full day, maybe a weekend lol

I think most garages will be looking for around the £350-£400 mark but don't quote me cause I've not had it priced up.

I'm sure someone will be along shortly with a bit more info for you bud

Ball ache of a job to do with out a ramp. Not impossible to do on the floor mind, but dropping the sub frame out the way with out ramps is just a pain in the arse
