Default Just completed my headlight mod

I did read the how to guide to change the colour of the headlight inserts but when i was in my workshop board decided to pull them apart

first was removing the head lights

    before recon and spray

    After recon and respray

    All put back together

All done with heat gun to heat up sealent and remove lense not a single clip or bit of plastic broken

it dose i was really chuffed with the outcome i just used the heat gun to heat up small sections at a time around the headlight housing and a small flat headed screw driver to separate the bonding from the lens.
once the lens was off i cleaned it inside and out, used 2000 grit wet/dry (used it wet) to get most of the horrible yellow haze off then machined with poor boys SSR3 SSR2 then SSR1 To take the fine scratches out then polished them with the machine buffer again with SRP and finally a coat of poor boys wax.
for the inner trim once chrome i used a normal dish scouring pad to give a bonding surface, then gray plastic primer and on top of that matt black.
to reassemble i used tiger seal around the inner edge of the lens casing seated lens back onto the casing slightly heated the plastic again to restore the clips to their original position so as not to snap them
