Default Koids on bikes, damaged bodywork

100 yards from home and after turning into my strret some dozy kid, about 16 caused a ruddy great scratch. The pillock did'nt even bother to stop at the junction and just rode straight into my rear nearside. Apart from the damage he could have been killed. Got his details and rang his dad who is coming round later. Rang the old bill to report the incident but as usual they were not interested. Will see what his dad says later but I feel I will probably have to get insurance company involved.

kids,.. everyone should have to have a license for them, and insurance so you can claim for stuff like this. Same as cats,.. got tons of scratches on my car from ass-holls who think cats are nice. Sick of rubbing out claw marks in my paint and collecting their chit off my lawns. Think I may start posting it through letterboxes and smearing it on their car door handles - see how they like it.

hope the old fella is a reasonable chap and coughs up for the repair

If he does'nt then I have legal protection so will let the insurance company follow it up. No doubt it will affect my premium though, despite my ncb being protected.

Well the lad's dad came round and so far has agreed to pay for the repair. Will get 2 quotes from reputable places to give him an option and we will see what happens next.

Well that has to be a good start. At least the kids father has the decency to come over, take a look and agree to pay for the damage. I fear in too many cases they wouldnt have given you the time of day

True Aidi. These days most would have probably either ignored me completely or just gave a tirade of verbal abuse and threats. Maybe he was put off as I was wearing my old regiment polo shirt
