Default Bought alpine w203ri, now to fit.....

    As the title says,

What do I need to fit it, iso cable? Aerial adapter? Fascia.

Can anyone recommend where to get all of this and what I need.

    Thanks

I went to a local car audio shop today, was quoted £70 odd for parts. £110 fitted.

Was told I need ISO, steering wheel adapter, fascia, new cage, aerial adapter.

I could see for myself that the Alpine cage would not fit the fascia's, so you have to buy a cage that fits.

Think ISO was £25, cage £25, fascia £17, and he just rounded it to £70 with the steering wheel cable. Thought it was a bit steep, but a bundle on ebay is about the same price to be fair.

£40 for fitting was a joke. I took the old stereo out last night in about 20 mins, this includes threading the ipod wire through the ashtray, not sure where to put that.

Just looking for the parts now, can get fascia online £9.99, cage £17.99, just getting a price for the leads...

Be careful when buying fascia and cage etc seperately, when you buy the kit you get other items which are needed.

Firstly check that the fascia has the black trim panel that goes on after you have slid your head unit in. Also check that you get the sprung side pieces that secure the headunit in place stopping it from sliding backwards and forwards and offers some theft protection against opportunists.....

Got the fascia delivered today. Interior plastic is anthracite (I think) and it is a pretty good match.

Going to get the cage tomorrow I think, it does have the sprung sides too, I noticed those, and the black trim. Good job you mentioned the black trim because I forgot about that, the one with the cd player will only fit that cage.

Going to try and get the leads from radio world too, not too far from me so going to drive over tomorrow.
