Default Bought a HD in car DVR... what a load of ****

I noticed that HD DVRs had come down a bit in price. Moneys tight and I really didnt want to break the bank so I went for this one.

HD HDMI 1280x720 LED Night Vision Support 32 GB Car DVR Video Recorder S6000

I set it at 720p and 30fps. The youtube video below shows how juddery and low-res it looks. You cant even read the numberplate in the car in front!

    [ame]http://youtu.be/rQPps7nZ25g[/ame]

I've emailes the seller and said I want a refund as the quality is so poor.

    The other alternatives are:

    http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/1808509386...84.m1438.l2649

    Which can do 1080p

    or

    http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/CAR-DVR-TF...item3cbf98903e

Which does 1280x960. What kind of res is 960 anyway! Thats not a proper HD res!

Can anye else reccomend me one for tops £40?

Looks ok to me too. For £30 its about what I'd expect. Think Big Pete has the black vue ones but they are £300 a pop and I'd assume they will be better. What kind of memory card are you using? I've read that the higher class ones give a better quality replay. I've still not got one yet.

I have the one in the third link and the quality is the same as the video posted. It's ok for me but it does not seem to flicker like the video. Could be handy if someone runs into you in which case you will have the reg. I dont have it set on full wide angle just zoomed in slightly. Oh and its quite cheaper

Can people post up some of their videos and a link to the camera that took it?

I've got a different model, but the quality is same, i was shocked too when i first used it. You get better movie from a digital camera.

Report him to ebay. He's registered as a "Business Seller" with them, so the Distance Selling Regulations apply to the transaction - within 7 days of purchase you can tell him you want your money back, and he has to refund it. You only have to cover the cost of sending the item back to him (demand a UK address), he even has to refund the postage you paid to have the itme delivered to you.
