Default Dodgy wipers - any ideas??

My wipers have gone Pete Tong this afternoon. When selecting the 'flick' wipe, the wipers stay on for 2-3 full wipes then come to rest half way across the screen. Also, when selecting auto-wipers, they come to rest anywhere between the bottom of the screen and one third way up the screen. It's twisting my melon! Any ideas as to what it could be?? Thanks

Sounds like the wiper motor or linkage, mine did similar utile I replaced unit. There's some posts regarding quick fixes but non worked with mine.

When my wipers started to play up it meant a new motor - typically mine packed in in the torrential rain and I didn't have time to find a second hand one!

Hardest part was getting the wipers aligned properly afterwards! Make sure you note their parked position which is what I forgot to do!

Wiper motor is very easy job just follow the how 2 http://www.vectra-c.com/forum/showthread.php?t=90019

My Wiper motor died the other week, replaced it with a 2008 motor but broke the linkage, so had to get a 2nd hand linkage from the same guy on ebay, he gave me another motor with the linkage so I have a spare motor if your interested.
