Eek hhmmm....think the car has been leaking

The vectra hasn't been used for a few days as I've been using the mondeo, reached behind the passenger seat to pick up something and was shocked to discover this......

Lifted the scuttle panel and sure enough it was full of water, so poked the sh**e out of the drain, put in a new pollen filter and took off the motor to clean it out, got the surface water up with a sponge but the carpet is still dripping wet

had exactly the same problem at weekend mate, try running a container into the carpet. The force of it should bring more water to the surface to collect then just put foot blowers on it when driving.

4+ A/C + hot = I had something similar in the boot of the Siggy, due to the fact that i'd not put the seal back on the rear light cluster when i took them off to clean them

Newspapers and a heavy weight to help soak it up, unless you can borrow a Vax, or similar, from someone. BTW get back into the scuttle and take that rubber bung thing out, it wont get blocked up again.

Best thing i found is to remove the bung from the scuttle, cut it in half so th bottom hole is not so big then refit.

remove it completely.. Its a poor design as the water has to rise to get over the rubber lip.
