    Default Coolant Leak

Hi Guys, im hoping someone can help me.
The past few day ive been losing a lot of coolant. After some investigation, i found the water coming out of a little hose which comes out of the bulk head. now it only leaks when the heating is , so im thinking is it the heater matrix?

    Thanks

Shouldnt the pipe be connected back to something?

Sounds like it could be the return from the heater matrix, but should go back to the engine.

The only pipe that shouldnt be connected would be an overflow from the coolant bottle.

Hopefully the pic has come out. This is where the water is coming from.

The two pipes going to the bulk head are to and from the heater matrix. Hopefully it's just a worn clam, try sticking a P-clip on it and see if that sorts it. Check for cracks and splits while you are there of course.

Cheers fella, i will try that. On the pic ive put a red box around an od shaped pipe, this is where the water seems to be coming from, but only when the heater is on. Is this some sort of over flow?

I can't look at the picture from work but I would guess the leaking pipe is the return pipe if only leaking when heater is on. The temperature control is just a value, so when off there should be no fluid flow to the return.

That little pipe looks like the drain for the condensate from the aircon/climate control unit. If it is its normal to see water from there if the aircon is switched on.
