    Default Cim Replace

Vectra c Replace CIM 13204166 UY with 13204147 UZ is this possible.
I have tried it and get two Faulty codes U2139-71 Can-bus CIM Message Rang Perfomance..
C0460-42 Steering Angel Sensor groove Calibated (have tried many times to delete but get errors each time)..

Has today been with Opel they tried for over two hours and finally they said that Cim 13204147 UZ is only for service vehicles (police ambulance, etc. Can it be true.
Is there anyone who has tried to replace the CIM 13204146 UY with 132041147 UZ
There is a vectra c facelift 2006 with z18xer engine

A total long-shot on this one...

Is there anything else on the car that does not work?

I ask this, as I have known Tech 2 to not work, simply because a brake light bulb was out. - Strange but true.

I understand the programming sequence for a CIM is VERY complicated.
I wonder if your dealer knows the correct sequence for this.
It involves a lot of resetting and re-pairing up a couple of the modules, and setting up of the keys...

Final job should be the calibration of the steering angle sensor.

As far as I am aware, UZ is a direct replacement for UY.. just a slightly newer module.

UZ is a higher spec module which is used with AFL's, but is a replacement for UY

And resetting a CIM on tech2 is fairly striaght forward, but not so much so if using vauxcom.

for claritys sake tech2 pushes around the codes to all the other modules on the immobilser circuit, DDM, PDM, REC, etc etc and gets it to learn the new CIM... Whereas with Vauxcom you have to manually reset each module and get it to learn the new environment identifiers which is a tedious job.
Plasma's Tech2 services are now partially open and able to provide services

got this around the wrong way, think the UY is a newer replacement for the UZ

(IDENT UY ALSO SERVICES IDENT UZ) (WITH ACCESSORY POWER OUTLET SOCKET) (2 CONNECTORS) (FOR 433 MHZ FREQUENCY) (EXCEPT AUTHORITY, POLICE VEHICLES)

btw, think your part number for UY is miss typed, think you mean 1324146 and not 13204166

think the UZ has a built in steering angle sensor which is needed for the AFL's to work, so maybe something to do with that relates to the error your getting

    Thanks for the clarification -

EPC4 can be a bit clunky with it's wording.

Hmm Vauxcom - It has some bonus sides (especially the infotainment side), but for all other programming etc, you simply can't beat Tech 2 / Tech 3, TIS2Web.
