    Default Tyres

Hi, our car passed its MOT today but had an advisory to get 4 new tyres within the next 2000 miles (advice from man who did it) being abit strapped for cash I have looked online and the cheapest tyres for our size that i found was £256 for all 4 and fitted at National Tyres..

    The name was Tigar Hitris

    Anyone heard of these?

An advisory is usually only issued if there is less than 2.0mm but still more than 1.6mm (ie the wear markers are visible and flush with the tread)

I would suggest you measure the tread left on each tyre
Replace the two that are most worn
Swap the remaining two tyres to the front
Put the two new tyres to the rear

The remaining two will then wear out rapidly, as they are at the front, but keep your eye on them over the next few weeks

This will let you buy premium tyres (around £100 each), as the Vectra C really needs them, similar to what you currently have fitted

Finally, if unsure, post details of what is currently fitted (Brand and specification)
