    Default Help!!!

    went to the in laws for dinner car was fine, on the way back no turbo and sounds like its miss firing took the engine cover off and there is black sticky gunk round the 3rd and 4th injectors. signum elegance 1.9 cdti 150.
    any ideas?
    thank in advance for any replies.

    also no nasty light on the dash and no smoke either?

    If its coming from directly around the injectors it will be the injector seal/s, Its in real terms a flat copper washer, Cheap as chips even at the dealers there only pence!, You can actually remove fuel pipes for both, loosen/undo securing bolts for both & lift 3 & twist slightly to aid removal of 4, you may have to do the same with 2 to remove 3rd, Clean hole/s well b4 replacing seal & injectors, I used 3/8 or 1/2 bar extensions to prise out the injectors as there usually a bit tight, re-torque to correct NM/lbf.

    ok cheers wizard i will do that in the not to distant future but found the cause it was a split vacuum pipe cut it down and stuffed it back on and all is well (above 2000 rpm).
