Default Replacing front pads. Oem, mintex or other?

Need the front pads changing as they are getting low.

Was going to buy mintex ones from eBay at a touch under 30 notes.

Then I thought I would ask you all if there are better options available and should I be looking at vx (with forum discount) or other makes?

My vec is an 06 1.8 vvt with standard 285,s up front.

    Cheers all

Mintex for me Mate. I've always found they give a really good bite.

I went for Bosch pads from EuroParts. Can't remember the price, but they are good brake pads.

Thanks for your replies all. I'm going to get mintex ones for now.

I'm saving up slowly for a brake upgrade . Either 302 or 314 as mine do suffer from brake fade and are too small IMO for the heavy vec. But this month has seen me already buy 2 new tyres for the front, mot, road tax, new oil and oil change plus filter. Paying the garage to do the work as its peeing down out there. All comes at the same time doesn't it.
