    Default Headlight Wahers

Vectra facelift, I've got headlight washer up front. Got the AFL headlights so the washers are on pop ups over of the front bumper.

Questions is, i've never seen them work?! How do you get them to operate, as they don't work when i do the windscreen?

Is there some sort of Headlight washer Epidemic today? So many threads about them.

Btw can you hear the pump going? If you not the pump may have gone. The facelift washers need water pressure to left the jets out of the bumper.

Yip headlights turned on and wash your windscreen, if they dont work the first place to check is the fuse. Its listed in your manual and it pops during freezing weather when the washers are frozen.

Are the headlight washers on the same pump as the windscreen washers?! Cause the windscreen washers are working fine??? Can hear the pump working but yeah the windscreens getting covered by that point.

Drive everywhere with the lights on, so 9/10 times i wash the screen the lights are on, the few times i've tried it on the drive also had the lights on

So by that i take it every time you wash the windscreen the headlight washers are meant to do the lights, not like every 4 times you wash the screen the lights get washed once kinda thing? Right, fuse for the headlight washers, i'll try and find it in the manual. Thanks for the info, got a place to start

Don't work off the pre-facelift Haynes manual either - the fuse numbers in the facelift are different...

Took me ages to find out why my headlight washers weren't working...

Yes Preface its position 14, facelift position 13. It actually may be a half can/ full can thing. So if anyone has a full can preface can you check your manual please and get back to us.

Well had five minutes earlier so went out and had a quick look in the cabin fuse compartment and sure enough no wonder they weren't working...

Think the fuse is meant to be under the red one??? Yet doesn't even seem to be the contacts there?!

Another quick question, it's an estate so regarding the dreaded check guard rear window alarm sensors. Had the alarm going off randomly a week or so ago. So after advice on here checked the wires that run round the boot windows and sure enough, there's one with a break in the run, so i've unplugged that one side and get the guard check message on the info display whenever i start the car. Question is if i pull the fuse in the boot compartment, number 23 detailed as "glass breakage sensor" and plug the side back in that i had previously pulled out, will i one, have the alarm going off randomly again and two, have any display errors when starting the car?
