That old HID and MOT issue!

Basically, just wondering if anyone has had their MOT with HID's fitted since the rule changes came in to action at the start of april? Did you pass? Did you fail?!

I believe some members have passed the MOT with Hids I have'nt seen any threads with failures from Hids being fitted

As others have said, 1st April.
Prior to that (Jan 1st to Mar 31st), it was just advisories given.

I've just passed mine with HIDS, plus I've got 2 snapped inner CV boots and it still passed so my local garage mustn't care. That too came in this Jan...

my car was mot'd on the 20th april - i have 6000k HID kit in my main and fogs - car passed without any advisorys

My motor is up for MOT this coming friday 5th May.

I have at present 6000k 35w.

I will double check with the garage as to what they think before I set out.

Worst case its dropping the front bumper and putting the h7's in I bought in the pound shop. That will only take 30 mins tops so not a biggie.

Will report back with my findings.
