You'd have to hard wire them, but then you'd lose the fogs.

    Been looking at these...

But would you not get a blown bulb error as the fogs are disconnected?

A simple program and you can set the fogs as 'not present' as for the flicker, if you get with the auto dim function you'll not have to worry as they'll always be on. I'll be getting these when I have free funds. As for losing your fogs? No big deal as how often do you use them?

Front fogs on pre facelift's are pointless anyway if you have hids fitted. With my 35w hids on the fogs cant be seen what so ever. The Insignia VXR doesnt even come with front fogs does it? The factory Hids must show the same performance as I get.

For me fitting DRL strips is just like fitting Lexus rear light............A DRL like in New Boys link though would be less of a fashion fopar IMO.

For me the perfect aftermarket DRL would be in the Light cluster in the same style as the Insignia and Astra.

I've just stuck 501 holders in the top of the fog light casing... My fogs now "DRLs" to match my side lights...

It's not like I need them as DRLs for same reason above, but it looks good

I activated DRL for the front fogs Lee with "generic VX/OPEL software" They work well, when you start the engine the front fogs come on but slightly dimmer than normal fogs, then when you turn your sidelights on the DRL's turn off but and become a normal working fog.

This is a normal setting in the cars software and DRL can be activated via Tech2 or other software .

This doesnt seam to be an option on Facelifts however, and im not sure if it will work on full can pre facelifts.
