    Default remap on v6 turbo, what gains?

    am seriously thinking about getting the vec re mapped, mine is 230 bhp version of z28 net engine, what increase would i get and would it make a huge difference?

    around 40bhp i'd expect and 80lbs torques , do you think that will make a difference ??

    Hi mate the 230 bhp version is actually the Z28NEL engine. I had the same engine in my previous 2.8T Siggy. I fitted uprated Iridium NGK plugs, carried out the VXR280 airbox mod, K & N panel filter and Superships Bluefin unit and made over 280 bhp. A custom map from courtnays, TMS or such like could probably get you to 300bhp without too much trouble. Hope this helps.

    Plus you will be alot faster than most due to auto box..

    Absolute brilliant after a map the 230 as above the auto helps alot and it's fun especially with kickdown

    neah , the fun bit is using the cruise in resume mode , get to 90ish , with cruise on then brake down to 40 say , then press resume and hang on ! its ace fun , vec's do have a resume on the cruise dont they ??

    Yeah you would be looking at around 280bhp.
