Personally I would get he parts yourself from VX... and then just get them to 'do' it.

Use GM 5w30 Fully Synth Dexos2 oil and genuine filter.

Suspect a garage would charge 1/2 hr rate if reasonable - or 1hr if thats there min charge..

Or - do it yourself mate if you can ?

If you've got 90 quid to spend let them do it - as said above its an easy job to do, you'll save yourself £50 and most of all you will know it has been done and done properly. With the money saved you can buy yourself some decent tools to do it again next time

garages around here do oil and filter change for £35ish with fuel filter on top of that id say another £10-£15 extra, bearing in mind you dont really know what type of quality the oil is.

As above suggests get the stuff yourself from vx, then you know for sure whats going in

Did mine last weekend, but also included the air filter. The genuine GM air, oil and diesel filters cost £34 delivered (the stealers wanted £75!!!!), plus I also got 5-ltrs of genuine GM 5/30synthetic oil for £19.50 delivered. I have to admit, I also needed to replace the sump plug (£6 from stealers) as it had been rounded off when last fitted. Also needed to borrow a 32mm socket from my mate to undo the filter case. It took under an hour to do including jacking car up etc.

Got the full service kit off Fleabay from a genuine VX dealer, seller name is 'waltercbrigg'. It was actually £35 (not £34 like I thought) plus £5 delivery.

The oil came off Fleabay too, seller name is 'davidchamps1964', and cost £19.95 for 5-ltrs genunie GM oil.
