    confused Should I get it?

I have the opportunity, to say so, to give my 2.0 DTI Vectra C 180.000km + somewhere around 1.000 Euro for a 2.0 Turbo Signum, Z20NET engine, remapped at ~ 210 BHP.

The bad part are that the Signum has about 270.000 KM, it has a knock in the output shaft (or driving shaft, don't know exactly the translation) and the catalyzer seems to be damaged, for which the EML is on. Other than that, it has minor bumps & scratches, but those don't bother me too much, because my Vectra has the same (Romania, can't have a car without scratches on it )

Still, from what the guy that sells it told me, it's had many parts changed, like the turbo, front & rear shock absorbers & springs, spark plugs, break pads & discs and some other stuff that I have no idea how to translate in English

On the other hand, on my Vectra it seems that the DMF started to deteriorate as well, so I'll have to replace the whole clutch kit in a while, which would be a pretty pricy operation, somewhere around 7-800 euro.

The main question is... should I take it? The engine is, mainly, the only reason why I'd change it, but given the number of km & the troubles it has / might have, would it be a wise decision? How should I check for additional problems? From what I've seen, other 'weak' spots for the Z20NET are the vacuum pump and the timing chain? Any advices would be greatly appreciated

Are you talking about the existing problems or about the problems that the car might've had and because of which the car has so many parts changed?

He's selling it because he also has a 2002 2.6 V6 Omega, so one of his cars has to go and apparently a Signum with the 2.0T petrol engine and 270.000 km isn't selling very easy, but the 2.0DTI Vectra would be easier to sell. I'm not a big fan of the Omega because of the larger engine (tax & stuff).

Also, I managed to track the 2 owners before the current owner and I'll try and get more details from them about the car, because they were, as far as I know, the ones that changed most of the parts. The current owner bought it at ~ 255.000 km in 2010, the guy before him got it at ~ 218.000 in 2008 and the last owner I could track got it, I think, at about 180.000, not sure about the year though.

Better to keep your own car I think. At least you know what the problems with that are.
    3.2 v6 Signum and loving it 😁

Yes, I know the problems with my car, and to be honest, that's one main reason why I want to trade it. If I do this trade, I spend ~ 1000 euro and I get a better engine and better car comfort specs (dual clima, f+r electric windows, front fog lights and some other irrelevant stuff). There is indeed a risk, but... If I keep my car, I spend 1000 euro for the clutch kit + DMF and other stuff that needs changing, but I'm stuck with the same lazy engine and less comfort specs.

What I'm also really interested in is what could happen to a Z20NET engine with 270.000 km? What could fail? The turbo was changed 50k km ago, so I'm guessing that shouldn't bother me. Anything else?
