Freaky Windscreen Wipers!

Hi all

Can anyone help me understand why my windscreen wipers decided to start, stop, not turn off, stop halfway through a wipe and then the water jets stopped and started when they wanted too? Back was fine.

It was freaky and quite amusing buty also annoying as i looked like a complete Pleb with my windscreen wipers in the middle of the screen whilst driving.

Common fault. An earth contact within the motor mechanism has worn through, here's the How2 for doing a DIY fix, alternatively replace the whole thing.
