    Lightbulb All over matte black?

Hi all, I'm new to the forum. If all goes to plan, tomorrow I should be picking up a 2003 Vauxhall Vectra 2.0 DTi LS.

I run a print shop with my Dad and we've gotten into the car wrap market, so I was thinking why not wrap my new Vectra matte black all over and then do a few details in carbon and whatnot.

I was wondering if anyone else has done all over matte black so I can see what it looks like?

Oh god no I could never do all over carbon! I think that sort of thing only looks good on supercars and such.

I think natural Kevlar or carbon panels look good on super cars.

In the 70's it used to be a craze to have a matt black bonnet, especially on Fords (sorry about the language), depending on the colour of the car a bonnet wrap m,ay look good??

Yep - seen plenty of matt black Capris, Escorts and even a Marina in my time.

It really shows the dirt though, and any rain will leave very obvious streaks. Fine for a show car or drag racer that doesn't do many miles, but on your daily driver it might get to be a pain.

I think it can look quite good depending on the car. I think you would need to choose a set of rims that compliment the look as its quite a bold styling statement. It might look a bit poo with standard rims. Prob also need to think about tinting the windows.

Go for it tho, im sure you can make it work

Not too fussed about dirt, we also run a limo hire company so the jet wash is out every day!

We do all window tinting too so that's definitely happening

Rims I'll have to save for -_-

When you are tinting cars, what do you do about the dot matrix? Ive heard of some people filing them down flat to stop the air bubbles around them, also others use stationary glue on the dot matrix to get rid of the bubbles? only asking as ive tinted a couple of my cars now with suntek film and it went really well, but the film lifted off the dot matrix after id done it. so there were little bits where it wasnt perfect if you looked closely!
