    Default Direct vs Non-Direct?

    Just curious, but apart from the obvious, what are the differences between the engine?

    Do they have different auto boxes?

    Finally, what are the advantages/disadvantages of one over the other?

    Direct is more powerfully more torque better on fuel apparently and faster not sure on the boxes rushy is the man For them questions
    Vectra vxr custome remaps egr deletes dpf and diagnostic work all remaps are custome bench tuning avalible all genuine equipment PM for info

    Same 5 speed autobox was on my previous 53 reg non direct as it on my current 06 reg direct.

    There is a thread somewhere on here giving the main differences, IIRC.

    The direct is a diffrent car, the non direct is a lazy under powered beast.. I've had both and wouldnt EVER go back to none direct land...

    *Awaits someone coming in to post up watchdog links about how dangerous the 2.2direct is*

    2.2 direct is a great motor, I had mine for 3 years and never had any problems with it. Replaced the fuel pump and regulator in the 3 years & 40k miles I had it. The only other thing was SRi spring snapped (common on every vec)
