Default urgent help needed re central locking

Hi all, a strange thing has just happened... my car was running fine btw. I dropped my keys going out the door, wen I tried the key fob the doors wudnt open, but the auto tailgate wud, so there is power to the fob. I manually unlocked the car, upon opening the door the alarm went off, clicking the key fob close button stopped it... 3 seconds later it happened again.. I put thekeys in the ignition, turned and all four locks opened. After getting out of the car I cud lock it using the key fob, but cudnt open it straight after.... this is most strange, I have no idea what's going on.... gremlins in the works......any advice welcomed

Update, the key won't syncronise while its in the ignition, but the door lock/unlock works fine so I'm now leaning towards the battery on its way out......

I'd try a new battery in the key fob, then re-sync it

Did the auto tailgate open when you tried to unlock the doors?

Then its the rear switch. Maybe! Mine did this the other day, there is a recent thread on here.
