Wiper motor let go today - In the pouring rain!
As above really, managed to coax it back to life just enough for a swipe across every 10 seconds or so and limped to my local garage.
Price for the new motor £82.00 +VAT, the part number is V0093195919 so am assuming its a genuine Vauxhall part. All told including labour was £153.60. I'm sure I could have found a cheaper part on Ebay and fitted it myself but the weather forecast for the rest of the week is very grim and I needed it done right away.

Was your linkage ok as I am after a linkage as mine has some play.
Apologies for the late reply, been away for a couple of days.
Didn't keep any of the old unit I'm afraid, got the garage to dispose of...
