    Default paypal / skype scam

Just a quickie , not sure if this has done the rounds before , but I've just had an email receipt from paypal for £18 to skype , to cancel the payment it takes you to a "paypal" looking website and tries to get your account details .
    Don't do it !
Always log into your paypal via another method to check your balance .

I have had a few of these e-mails in the last couple of months, last one was for £30! I forwarded the e-mails to paypal and they confirmed its a scam so be aware!

Wendy just had one stating there was a scam going on, to click on the supplied link to re confirm her account details. Instant suspicion as it's my paypal account not hers, I told her to delete it asap.

One thing that you'll notice with these type of email scams is that they never greet you by name, which practically all genuine emails should do. Also, hover your mouse over the link in the email & read the http address which should appear in the very bottom left corner of Internet Explorer, if it doesn't look like a genuine address, then NEVER click on it!

The last one I received was from 'paipal.com' ....very sneaky! had 2 of these since xmas, first one was a very blatant fake the last one was much more genuine looking!

Well the one I got could easily be mistaken for genuine if your not that clued up , all they need you to do is click the cancel button , then enter your email and password
As mentioned the " hello customer " introduction , and the fact I have not signed up to skype made alarm bells ring , must be alot of people fall for this .

Yep, same as I have had, what e-mail address did it come from? Also forward it to spoof@paypal.com (I think that's the address iirc).
