    Default just smashed my pre-cat out

    got this 1.9 cdti pre-cat on ebay for £25 not a bad price for a pre-cat de-cat and of course an hour and a half's work gutting it lol. im getting it fitted on Wednesday i wonder what difference it would make. some pics

    Would have been better to just replace the pipe with a scorpion pipe, Will hardly be the best way for exhaust gasses to escape.

    They are a pain to remove and install aswell if your not taking the front end off.

    have you seen how much the scorpion pipe is. and as for exhaust gasses why is it not the best way? i have no CAT.

    Yes i have one fitted, Poor exhaust flow, Think of it as aerodynamics in pulses.

    It also won't fail an mot as the car does not require a full catalyst test .

    The empty shell will allow expanion and contraction of exhaust gases which can inhibit power. Technically exhaust pipes should be uniform in their cross sectional area for best performance.

    It won't fail an MOT without the precat - if you stick your under tray on they will not look anyway.

    Got a scorpian pipe waiting to go on too.

    hammer, file, 20mm thick drill end and a 40mm drill end its a lot cheaper. i cant wait to see how it feels my cars done 126k.
