Get to pump (shell is my local).
Pull out the customary optimax only to notice with horror

100.9 per litre

WTF???? I looked around, everything was normal; except the petrol I wanted was over a quid a litre; F**king outrageous....

I ended up filling up with 'normal' unleaded, which was still 94 odd p.

I just cannot believe the flippin prices these days.

I remember the Sun printing '50 quid to fill a Mondeo', well I would have paid '60 quid to fill a Vectra'

Print THAT as Dickenson would say ...

I know mate is bleeding ridiculous. I keep waiting for the haulage companies to kick off again. I wonder if they're getting the help they deserve now?

i look on the other side of the coin myself...........................

the fuel is so expensive i have a ' mad-max ' attitude,i burn it like there is no tomorrow and enjoy every mile, lol

Just think of all the extra billions ol' Mr Brown is getting through increased oil revenue. I'm sure hell use it to reduce the tax on petrol...............not!!

With a 3.2 Signum I started to worry about these petrol prices (and extending the mortgage)

and then thought 'what the hell, there's nothing i can do about the price and hopefully it'll reduce the number of miles that non-entusiasts drive leaving the roads free for us'
