standard LCD clock color change?

Anyone know if i can change the color of my LCD clock display. Half way through LED conversion and this is the problem i have come across.

Any ideas would be appreciated.

If you have a TID display (two line display) then you need the twist in bulbs like these... http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/4-x-Vectra...item3a65e63b2a

But if you have a GID then they take SMD's like the rest of the car... And you dont change the colour on a CID as this is colour already...

always get confused with TID GID CID thingy. never quite understood how to tell the difference!

Mine has clear glass with a plastic backing to it, the glass is connected with a ribbon cable for power. Does that make any sense.??
