I think a few lads on here have fitted the k&n filter along with the air box mod. I never bothered and stuck with gm parts. Was doing the service yourself?

The K&n filter will last for longer than the car , its also worth investing in the cleaner kit and then the filter will last longer than your car , i have had one in mine for over four years and just clean it once a year .
Thats a good price by the way as they often sell for around £10 more
    Driving vauxhall,s for 30 + years
    and still loving it

cheers guys. yeah im gona do the air box mod as well. so looks like im gona be getting one of these now. also ive been looking at these DTUK tunning boxes.

I cant decide which 1 to get. green or red one.

is the green 1 for power and economy and red one for just power.

sum 1 point me in the right direction which one to get.

I'd personally stay away from oil coated air filters as if there are over-oiled these can damage your MAF, I stick with genuine Vauxhall parts and have done the air-box mod.
As for a tuning box I would recommend the crd-t, this is what I have.

I would recommen the K&N filter, I fitted one to mine and it improved the low end driveability a lot. as said above though be carefull when reoiling them.... although for the increased longevity between requiring reoiling it is still cost effective to just buy another K&N rather than the OEM ones, which rules out any risk from too much oil.....

K&N, it does seem to let the engine rev freer IMO. The airbox mod is a good move too, anything that removed restrictions from air getting into the engine is good.
