1.9 CDTI Autobox

I'm looking at the 1.9 CDTI and 3.0 CDTI possibly with the F40(?) Autobox. What can you guys tell me about them? Are they any good? I'm looking at a sub 60k car. Any problems you think I should listen out for, I've never had a diesel and never driven an auto! LOL

Just floor it firmly from a standstill and then at about 40/50 (with it showing 1500 revs) the power delivery should be smooth and linear. You should feel the box change gear, but not "shudder". It will spin upto 3000 revs plus before changing. You might find your driving is a little sharp on the brakes, if its your first time in an automatic too.

Hasnt the 3l cdti got a known problem with the gearbox cooler splitting and letting in radiator water??
