    Default Steering wheel wiring

07 1.9cdti ... past 2 years noise coming from steering column, past 6 months airbag light intermittent, now airbag light permanent + steering wheel radio controls gone haywire + intermittent horn… software reads
Total number of fault codes: 2

B0012 - Driver Airbag Squib Circuit (Stage1) High Resistance
    (0D) - Present

B0013 - Driver Airbag Squib Circuit (Stage 2) High Resistance
    (0D) - Present
Is this the clock spring wiring thingy and if so is it located in the wheel or the column cowling and is it easy to replace…
    Thank you

Take a look at this thread http://www.vectra-c.com/forum/showthread.php?t=162068 could be the same fault. Although my airbag light never showed, it just could be a bad earth. There is an "How to" for removing the steering wheel airbag, it is simple once you've fiddled with those release clips. I think my problem as in the thread was readjusting the earth spring piece at the rear of the airbag.
Don't forget to disconnect the battery and wait 20 minutes.

Sorted it at last. Removed CIM. Pulled CIM to bits. Cleaned all contacts and
tested ribbon for resistance to find 2 circuits intermittent. The inner spool end of
the ribbon had at some point kinked back on itself 3 or more times and jammed under the
plastic tensioner thingy on spool. After straightening out it stabalized at 2.9 ohms on both
circuits but when moved curcuit was broken so I araldited the first 2 damaged loops
of ribbon on the spool, to the spool tightley whilst keeping a check on resistance
using software then re assemled CiM back into car. Moved wheel lock to lock for ten
minuites or so expecting disaster to strike, both stable at 2.9 ohms.
Seems like jobs a good un.... Thank you for youre Help and advice...Thank you..
