Angry Thank God for Vehicle history check sites!

For the cost of 2 pints, I've just saved my self quite a few £££'s by doing a car history search! I a viewed the car and was on the verge of leaving a deposit, but it was just one of a number of cars that I'm interested in at the moment. The dealer, however failed to mention the fact that it was a stolen/recovered Cat C repaired write-off. Although to be honest, looking at it, you couldnt tell it had suffered any major damage, and it was a nice looking car.

If a data search says it's a Cat-C, but it doesn't look it, then it might be even worse - a stolen car that's been given the identity of a written-off car.

I checked a 1.8 Vectra after viewing it. The seller failed to mention it was a Cat-C write off.

Lucky escape. He hadn't even priced it to reflect it's Cat-C status.

They are worth the money, but equally I feel this information should be provided by the authorities so that EVERYONE checked.. it'd tidy up a lot of bad trading.

Put the reg plate of it on here IMO that way if anyone googles it the search will show up this thread. May help someone else getting caught out.
Now I need a turbo to keep up!
