Hi
Was tidying up the boot area an came across this connector behind the n/s side panel.
Anyone know what it's for?
Has red and brown cables and seems to head off towards fuse box/front of car.
Cheers

Strange, it looks like it's an external one going by the seal around the end. Usually the tow bar connector and the rear parking sensor connector are in the spare wheel well.
TPMS maybe (although I think they are usually on the O/S).
yeah TPMS is the otherside and is a different plug.. not sure what that is as my nearside is taken up with the power tailgate stuff (maybe something to do with that?).
Maybe plug for alarm horn/sirene.
Plug for electric tailgate and towbar is different size plug..
Could it be a tracking device that's been removed, or some additional ICE stuff?
Nothing much in the Haynes Manual. Red is a live feed and Brown is Earth.
As yours is an Estate, does it still have the alarm siren and REC fitted near the N/S wheel arch??
In the Hatchback versions, the alarm siren is inside the rear N/S wing, and is visible by opening the panel in the boot lining as is the Rear Electrical Centre.
Estates must be different, but I have not had one. Looks like you need replies from someone who has/had an Estate.
power sounder is in the N/S next to the REC
Anyone got a pic of the power sounder? or should it be visable in the picture?
My alarm still sounds when set off, are there 2 power sounders?
