    Default ABS anyone??

    Hi guys,

My car has recently developed an intermittent ABS faulty...
After about half an hour of normal driving the ABS and traction lights come on the dash and stay on until i switch the engine off and restart it...
Could this be something to do with ABS sensors??
Has anyone actually experienced changing them?

    Thanks

Did you ever get to the bottom of this problem? After wheelspinning the other day in London my ABS and TC lights are on and wont go off!

    Confused.

Not sure if you'll get an answer from him chris - he was last online in October 2007.

Lol... probably not then mate, thanks.

I think I will take the wheels off, give everything a clean and see if that solves it. Hoping that its just caked up with crud and salty crap off the roads. Really dont need a big bill at the moment lol

Problem solved I think. I have removed the near side front wheel, disconnected the abs and TC connectors, cleaned and sprayed with WD40 and reconnected. Results... no more warning lights

This same thing has cropped up recently, with the connector maybe causing the faults detected.
